Welcome to Baby Linda!

Jade became a Mum earlier this year and as you can see baby Linda is absolutely gorgeous. Jade is loving motherhood, but as a self confessed anorak about dental therapy, she’s also itching to get back to the Green Room. She is set to return to work in September, but you may even see her before that, as she’s hoping to visit us with baby Linda as soon as COVID restrictions allow.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Latest Advice

Further guidance from the Chief Dental Officer England regarding the emerging Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, now temporarily prevents us from seeing patients face to face, even for dental emergencies.  If you have a dental emergency please call the practice during normal working hours (08:30-16:30 Monday to Friday) on 01637 879889.

Sally will still be available for advice and to issue any prescriptions which may be required. When appropriate, Sally will also be able to refer you to a local urgent dental care hub for treatment.

Thank you to all our patients for your continued support during this difficult time and we will do everything we can to help and support you. We look forward to re-opening and seeing you again, as soon as it is possible.

Temporary Closure of Green Room Dentistry

To all of our patients,

We have been closely monitoring the NHS and government guidance which is being updated daily, as measures are stepped up to stem the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and subsequently save lives.

Temporary Closure for Routine Dental Procedures

Following Friday's (20th March 2020) COVID-19 announcements, we have made the decision to temporarily close our dental practice for all routine dental procedures, until we can fully re-open (hopefully by 1st June).  Please contact us if you have a dental problem on 01637 879889 or  Our online booking systems will temporarily be closed for this period, but you will be able to book online for 1st June onwards. We will contact you if you have any veneers, crowns, bridges, implant work or dentures due to be fitted, in order to arrange this.

Emergency Dental Treatment

We will still be providing an emergency dental service to all our registered patients* and this service is provided free of charge to our Denplan patients.  You can still register for our Denplan payment plan by contacting and this can be done over the phone and online.

During this temporary closure period, we would like to extend this emergency service, free of charge, to all our hardworking NHS/ Social Care worker, registered patients.

We will also endeavour to provide emergency dental care for any unregistered patients, should they not be able to access their own dentist.

Additionally, we have measures in place, to ensure all our registered patients can access emergency dental care at other local practices, should we need to be self-isolating at any point in the future and hence be unable to see you personally.

Re-scheduling Appointments

If you have any appointments booked during our practice closure period, we will be contacting you to reschedule these.  For our Denplan patients, we will still guarantee to offer you the same number of appointments per year, as covered by your plan membership.

The Green Room Community

Our priority has always been the safety and wellbeing of our patients and team, and we will continue to do everything we can to support you.

We know this is a particularly difficult time, especially for those who are most vulnerable to COVID-19 and are being asked to self-isolate now.  We would like to offer you our support, as we strongly believe self-isolation is the right thing to do.  Therefore, if you are a patient of ours now self-isolating and you need anything, please get in touch by Facebook Messenger, calling 01637 879889 and choosing option 2, or by e-mailing or

We will do our best to help with anything from dental advice, dental prescriptions and supplies, delivering shopping, a newspaper or magazine, or just someone to talk to.

You can like and follow us on Facebook and Instagram, where we’ll be posting some interesting ideas to do whilst self-isolating and we would welcome you sharing your ideas with the Green Room community.

*Providing you have no symptoms of COVID-19 and are not having to self-isolate with a member of your household who has symptoms.
If you have been told to self-isolate and you need urgent dental treatment or have a dental emergency, call NHS 111. The NHS team will assess your situation and direct you to a suitable facility to provide your dental care.
If you have confirmed COVID-19, call NHS 111 and the local health protection team (HPT) will coordinate your treatment.

Thank You
Finally, a massive thank you to all our patients for your continued support over the last 21 years of the Green Room. We will get through this together. Stay safe and healthy.

Best wishes,

Sally, Richard and the Green Room Team

tooth whitening

Is it safe?

Due to changes in the law in October 2012 tooth whitening products with a percentage of hydrogen peroxide between 0.1%-6% can now only be provided by dentists. Tooth whitening is perfectly safe; however you may experience some sensitivity during treatment.

Can I still have tooth whitening at my beautician or hairdressers?

Any beauticians or hairdressers offering tooth whitening will be doing so at a much lower percentage of hydrogen peroxide which means results will be limited. If your beautician or hairdresser is still using a higher percentage of hydrogen peroxide this would be a breach of the regulations that came into effect in October 2012 and therefore a criminal offence.
